Good Education just ran a fantastic contest where it asked readers for a redesign of the traditional report card, making it “visually appealing, informative, and inspirational, and give context to student achievement.”
Click on the thumbnails to check out some of the selection below (the first, which features a “student” named Stephanie Paige Jobs, is my personal favourite.) Some are better than others, but I would love to see reporting to parents and families become more like these examples. I particularly liked how many of them included collaboration and communication between the teachers of different subjects!
Voting ends by Sunday, so get voting! There are more at the link. Next steps? Look at your own assessment and reporting and see how you can bring it into the modern age.
